About Us

Special Therapy Care (STC) was founded in 2001 by an occupational therapist who envisioned a community-based facility located in the "heart" of the Beverly area of Chicago that would provide high quality therapy based upon current research and evidence.  STC's founder has committed to building a high caliber resource for the many families who were struggling to find services for their children.  Therapy began in a single room within a natural environment and basic equipment with a big dream.  STC has since grown from a single room to a state of the art facility where we provide treatment on a daily basis.  Coupled with a family-centered approach and a "child-friendly" environment, STC grew at a rapid pace to become a facility that has served hundreds of children within the community.  STC takes great pride in not only the success of the children who began with us 9 years ago but also the many staff members and volunteers who have celebrated continuous service to our vast community.
